The gardening club has always encompassed new ideas and technology, whether this be encouraging new gardening techniques like “No Dig” or using Zoom for meetings and talks during the pandemic.
In early 2023 the committee decided that it was now time to take another step forward and develop a website for the club. The main aim and purpose of having a website was to help the club attract new members, making the club more accessible to all, and to provide online communication to existing members, with a members only accessible area giving members access to the clubs monthly newsletter, detailed information about garden visits and club talks.
Simon Coombe membership secretary was tasked with obtaining quotes for the website development and seeking help with the funding of the site. Shire Marketing Specialists from Chipping Campden were given the brief for the new website. The club also made a grant application to The Chipping Campden Community Trust for financial assistance with the project.
The Club were delighted to be awarded a grant by CCCT which has enabled the new website to be developed and launched on the world wide web, yet another step forward in the 21st century!
